Workplace Audiometry tests and Assessments
Testing your employees means you can protect your employees from industrial deafness and avoid unfair personal injury claims. We can test any number of employees. All of our tests are carried out by qualified health professionals to approved standards.
Initially we suggest an informal discussion to discuss your company’s needs. We will advise of all the issues, options, risks and benefits. Hearing tests typically take around 20 minutes each, and are designed to cause minimum disruption for your business.
This is what happens when one of your employees takes a hearing test:
- Firstly we complete a questionnaire to discover any physical factors which might affect your employees hearing, such as diseases, sports, hobbies or prior noise exposure.
- Then we carry out a visual examination of your employees’ ears
- During the hearing test, individual employees wear headphones. Their responses to sound frequencies are assessed and documented.
The results are classified. We then follow up the tests with a report to each employee and a general report to you, giving the overall results and advice on action you can take.

Costs
Costs are as low as £40 + VAT per test for a session of 10 tests. Further discounts may be applied where larger numbers of tests are needed.
Benefits
The benefits of our Audiometry testing increase year on year for the following reasons:
- In the first year the tests identify the state of an individuals hearing including any noise induced hearing loss. This is particularly important for new employees, who may already have some loss from past noise exposure
- In future years we will then compare audiometry results to previous years to show any changes in hearing over time
